Lula May Ingram, age 85, passed away Tuesday morning, June 14, 1988, at the Bothwell Regional Health Care Center in Sedalia, MO. She was born on July 21, 1902, at Hastain, MO., the daughter of James (Jim) R. Johnson and Dosha Dalton.
She grew up in Benton County and on Nov. 7, 1920, she was united in marriage to Richard R. Ingram at Hastain, MO. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Fristoe and Edwards communities where one daughter and six sons were born. She was preceded in death by one son, Virgil and her husband who passed away on Feb. 28, 1969. After his death, she continued to make he home on the family farm. She was a member of the Edwards Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by one half brother, Floyd Bailey.
Immediate survivers include one daughter, Marjorie Peterson of Raytown, MO.; five sons, Vernon & Bob of Lincoln, MO., Don Ingram of Raytown, MO., Richard of the home and Dean of Edwards, MO.; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She grew up in Benton County and on November 7, 1920, she was united in marriage to Richard Roy Ingram at Hastain. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Fristoe and Edwards communities where unto this union one daughter and 6 sons were born. She was preceded in death by one son, Virgil and her husband passed away on February 28, 1969. After his death, she continued to make her home on the family farm.
She was a member of the Edwards Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by one half brother, Floyd Bailey.
She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Peterson of Raytown, Missouri; 5 sons, Vernon Ingram and Bob Ingram, both of Lincoln, Don Ingram of Raytown, Missouri, Richard Ingram and Dean Ingram, both of Warsaw, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is 3 half brothers, Roy Bailey of Raytown, Earl Johnson and Floyd Johnson, both of Sedalia; 4 half-sisters, Mrs. Rosie Balke and Mrs. Pearl Garrison, both of Warsaw, Mrs. Beaulah Stewart of Hattisburg, Mississippi, and Mrs. Beaulah Sesimore of Sedalia.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Last rites for Lula May Ingram were held at the Reser Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, the Rev. Richard Anthony officiating.
Pallbearers were Jack Ingram, Douglas Ingram, Steve Ingram, Timothy Peterson, Michael Ingram, Rodney Ingram and Richard Peterson.
Honorary pallbearers were: Herman Balke, Sr., Sam Estes, Turner McDowell, and John Rymarcsuk.
Burial was in the Belleview Cemetery.
