Edwin LaFate Bellamy, 95, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Covenant Towers, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Born on October 25, 1921 in Brunswick County, NC, he was the son of the late Rev. Arthur Chapman and Hortena Hughes Bellamy.

Mr. Bellamy was the former owner of Lakeshore Motel in Little River, SC, also a welder/pipefitter with Local Union 421; a Charter Member of the Lions Club of Little River; Shriner, Mason, former Deacon and long-time member of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include his son, Keith Bellamy (Kris); daughter-in-law, Joy Bellamy; sister, Mary Livingston; five granddaughters, Bambi Dickinson (Dale), Mary Allyn Bellamy, Betsy Palmer (Chris), Meredith McNeice (Andy), Ashtin Kilpatrick (Thomas); two great grandsons, Brian Dickinson, Henry Keith McNeice; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Lois Platt Bellamy; son Richard Alan Bellamy; brothers, Owen, Clyde, Lucian, Charles, E.J., Arthur; and sisters, Eula and Ina.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 7 at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.
