Ara Wanda Griffin was born on February 2, 1933, in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late General and Cassie Davidson Bowling. She was united in marriage to Leonard Griffin, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Cynthia Griffin of Boulder, Colorado, and Gregory Griffin of Seattle, Washington, two brothers, Lyle Bowling (Annie) of Cadiz and Larry Bowling (Jackie) of Bowling Green, six grandchildren, Jesse Tobiason, Alexa Gunderson, Piper Reynolds, Dani Griffin, Sarah Porterfield, and Alex Griffin, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Lisa Calvert, Daniel Bowling, Carol Snoots, Donna Marie Bowling, Yvonne McDaniel, Pansy Harris, Betty Harris, Allie Chambers, Charles Harris, Margie Mitchell, Jewell Buckles and Doug Harris. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Bowling, and two sisters, Inez Snoots and Juanita Harris.
She was a retired 3rd level manager for Boeing Aircraft.
Ara Wanda Griffin departed this life at St. Joseph - London on Saturday, May 27, 2017, being 84 years, 3 months and 24 days of age.
Memorial services for Ara Wanda Griffin will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Tackett officiating.
