Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Wellington, KS. Shelley Family Funeral Home. A memorial was established with the First Christian Church.
Carole Jeanne (Moore) Gasswint was born on November 9, 1935 the daughter of Clyde and Mildred Jones Moore.
She graduated from Wellington High School in 1953. She went to college at Emporia State from 1953 to 1956.
Carole was united in marriage with Jack Allen in 1956, he preceded her in death in 1987.
She later married Bill Gasswint in 1989 and he preceded her in 2007.
Carole was a bookkeeper and an accountant for many years. Carole was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the First Christian Church in Wellington. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, sewing and singing in the choir. She enjoyed family and friends as well as cooking and baking rolls
Survivors include her daughter, Stacey May and husband Brian of Wellington, step-daughters, Pam Gasswint and Gretchen Iudicianni and a husband Andy of Arizona, grandchildren, Russ Rains, Aubrey Rains and husband Shawn, Kelsey Rains, Emily Rains, Anisha Elmore and Clif May, 10 great grandchildren and brother Richard Moore of Camas, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and sister, Marilyn Harkleroad.
