"H. I. Snare of this city received a message at noon Wednesday announcing the death of his father, Remick Snare, which occurred at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home five miles south of Dawn. Mr. Snare, was a former well known resident of this city, his wife having died six years ago.
Four sons, H. I. Snare of this city, Frank Snare of York, Neb., Joe Snare of Kansas City and John Snare of Illinois, and one daughter, Mrs. Elmer Rose of Kansas, survive. Frank Snare was here this morning en route to his father's bedside, but the latter passed away before he arrived at the Snare home." The Chillicothe Constitution, April 9, 1924
