Daughter of Murl Stanley Lake and Kathryn (Weisheimer) Lake

CAROLYN M. NICOL Age 75, of Jupiter, Florida passed away Saturday morning March 20, 2004 at Hospice of Palm Beach County.

Mrs. Nicol was born October 29, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio daughter of the late Murl Stanley Lake and Kathryn Weisheimer Lake.

She moved from Marysville, Ohio to Jupiter in 1984. Mrs. Nicol was a receptionist with the physicians' office of Thomas R. Rowe, M.D. and Robin A. Sykes, M.D. retiring in March 1998. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Marysville, OH and more recently was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Jupiter/Tequesta.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald E. Nicol in 1979. Mrs. Nicol, also affectionately known as ‘Mom' and ‘Nana', loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be most remembered for the unconditional support and love she gave her children and grandchildren. She reveled in their individual accomplishments and was extraordinarily proud of all their achievements. Her memory will be cherished by her loving children Kathy K. Hale and her husband David of Jupiter, FL; Ray A. Kennedy and his wife Jennifer of Winter Park, FL; Nancy K. Nicol and her husband Raymond F. Faloona of Jupiter, FL; David L. Nicol and his wife Gale of Marysville, OH; her brother John M. Lake of Santa Fe, NM; her adored grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, Courtney, Max, Mitch, Alexandria, Tessa, Noah, Jensey and Tucker; and her precious long-haired dachshund, Muffy. On Friday, March 26, 2004 from 6 - 8 PM, the family will receive friends at TAYLOR & MODEEN FUNERAL HOME, 250 Center Street, Jupiter. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of Jupiter/Tequesta, 815 E. Indiantown Road, Jupiter. Pastor Patricia M. Daniels will officiate.

Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tequesta. Those planning an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association in Mrs. Nicol's memory.
