GIBSON CITY – Grace E. Hanley, age 92, of Gibson City died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday (May 31, 2017) at Heartland Health Care in Paxton.

Her graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City, with the Rev. John Tennyson officiating.

Mrs. Hanley was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Warroad, Minn., a daughter of Emmett and Bertha Graham Myers. She married Robert E. Hanley on Oct. 30, 1949, in Gibson City. He died April 2, 2000.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Tino of Greeneville, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Renee (Steve) Collins of Greeneville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Amie Rice of Greeneville, Tenn., and Deadra Alexander of Champaign; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Wittman of Tucson, Ariz.; and a brother, George Larson of Baudette, Minn.

She was preceded in death by a son, Myron; three sisters; and a brother.

Grace was a member of the Gibson City United Methodist Church and the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed volunteering at the Shepherd's Closet and providing backpacks for kids.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City.
