Obituary - Willis Arden Woolsey, 89, passed away Thursday, June 22, 1995, in Escalante, Utah.

He was born November 7, 1905 in Escalante, to Dicy Elnora Young and James Brigham Woolsey, Jr. He married Ruby Olena Riddle on May 13, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on August 23, 1988.

Arden was a member of the LDS Church, serving as a bishop and counselor. He served a Spanish-speaking mission to California. He also spent 11 years as a temple worker in the St. George Temple.

Arden was a rancher and stockman. He loved his family, nature and the out-of-doors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Durrel Arden (LaRae) Woolsey of Salt Lake City; Wallace Riddle (Darlene) Woolsey of Escalante; LaNia W. (Howard) Munson of Cedar City; and Joy W. (Leon) Graves of Sacramento, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, 1995, at 11 a.m. at the Cedar City LDS Rock Church. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m and Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery.
