Doris L. Sisson, age 81 years, joined her heavenly family February 4, 2006.
Born to James and Edna Acheson, Tacoma, Washington; siblings, James, Clara, Raymond, Agnes, Robert, Donald and Leroy Acheson. She married William “Bill” Sisson, son of James and Etta Sisson of San Diego. To Doris and Bill were born nine children, John, Darwin, Brant, Linn, Chris, Gloria, Gail, Elena, Sarah. Doris was also loved by 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, along with her many sons and daughters-in-laws partners of her children both present and past. Doris also enjoyed being an “Auntie” to many nieces and nephews and being a part of her husband’s Sisson family.
Life for Doris and Bill had many challenges. They enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, family reunions and being members of both the Hydesville Community Church and later the Grace Baptist Church. Doris was pleased to be a Sunday School Teacher (preschool). She enjoyed her many friends. She appreciated one and all for their love and support over the years. Bless your hearts!

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 7, 2006, at the lOOF Oddfellows. Cemetery on A Street in Hydesville, CA. A potluck and celebration of mothers life will be held at the River Lodge, 1800 Riverwalk Drive, Fortuna, following the service.
