Nina Helen Mansur was born in Camptonville, CA in 1870 to Carlos Frederick Mansur and Columbia Letticia (Gale) Mansur. Her parents had moved to that gold mining community two years earlier. The family moved to Santa Ana in Southern California in 1880. There, she married Earl George Glenn (1870 - 1948). a veteran of the Spanish War, on April 8, 1903. They had two children, Margaret Leticia (Glenn) Cornett (1910-1991) and Frederick Earl Glenn (1914-1997).
