Melva Jean Lack Bay was born April 14, 1945 in Pocasset, OK to William Harvey and Maymie Etta (Shook) Russell and passed away May 23, 2017.

Melva was raised in Waynoka, OK and attended area schools, graduating from Waynoka High in 1963. After high school she married Thomas "Buster" Lack, Jr. and the couple traveled the world while Buster was in the oilfield. Buster passed away in 1991, after which Melva moved to Dallas, TX. She married Harlan Bay on August 11, 2007 and the couple made Enid their home.

Melva was a faithful member of Garriott Road Church of Christ, she was a full-time mother and she enjoyed dancing and singing all kinds of music but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very fun, vivacious lady that everyone loved being around.

Melva is survived by husband, Harlan; daughters, Carla Lack of Enid; Dawnde Buckley and husband, John of West Chester, PA and also Bryan Bay and wife, Cindy of Enid and nine grandchildren; sister Artie Dougherty and husband, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Buster and three siblings.

The funeral for will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Garriott Road Church of Christ with Ray Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Hominy Cemetery.
