The death of James Burns of this town occurred Thursday night at his home, aged 86 years. He is survived by two sons, Edward of Portland and John of North Whitefield, and two daughters, Mrs. Amy Quinn of Augusta and Mrs. Trainor of North Whitefield.
Funeral services . . . were conducted at St. Denis Catholic Church at North Whitefield in the presence of a large number of the family and friends. . .Interment was in the family lot in St. Denis [sic Calvary] Cemetery. [Contributor: Whitefield Historical Society # 47663682]
