Mr. Barbour was born May 7, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Oliver C. and Maie Penny Barbour. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ila Ruth Barefoot Barbour; daughter, Genda Ruth B. Strickland; and brother, Harold Barbour. Mr. Barbour was a 1946 graduate of Benson High School and was a farmer.
Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Dean B. & Lavon Benson of McGee's Crossroads; son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Debbie Barbour of Benson; son-in-law, Harold Strickland; grandchildren, Angela B. Massengill, Jamie C. Barbour, Dana B. Dillon, and Justin E. Barbour; great grandsons, Cameron, Grant, Ethan, Jake, & Jarett; sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Joyce Barbour, Shirley & Shelton Barefoot, and Hilda Barefoot; special caregiver, Hilda Jernigan; special family members, The Bill & Ada Norris Family; and many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home from 1:30PM to 2:45PM Saturday prior to the service.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
