Amos Owen Brooks, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996 in Providence Hospital. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Will and Lula Owens Brooks. He retired as a dairy farmer and operated Rosewood Dairy Bar of Columbia. He was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.
Surviving are sons William C. Brooks and Robert Gerald Brooks, both of Lugoff, and Clark Kenneth Brooks of Columbia; daughters, Rachel Jeannette Brooks of Lugoff, Dorothy Fay Jernigan of Florence and Judy Sitton of Columbia; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
