Edna Osborn, 92, of the Augusta Area Nursing Home, was called to heaven by her Lord and Savior on Dec. 15, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Edna Florence Osborn, daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Johnson) Nelson, was born March 14, 1914, in the town of Bristol in Dane County, Wis. She moved with her family to the Boyd area as a small child, and there, she attended Evergreen Country School. She was united in marriage to Willard Osborn on Nov. 28, 1934, in Eau Claire County. The couple lived most of their married life in the Augusta area, where they farmed and she later worked at Frase's Locker and in the dietary department of the Augusta Nursing Home. She was a member of the Augusta Assembly of God Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and baking. She was famous for her potato donuts and Norwegian pastries.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Osborn of Fall Creek and Patricia Osborn of Madison. She is also survived by two stepgranddaughters, Linda (Richard) Reineke and Brenda (Vance) Langiewicz, whom she raised; brother, Joseph (Beverly) Nelson; sister, Anna (Thomas) Cloutier of Wausau; grandsons, Joshua Wagner of La Crosse, Allen (Sue) Staves of Altoona and Robert (Jean) Staves of Fall Creek; granddaughters, Bonnie (Lawrence) Willkom of Chippewa Falls and Sharon (Dennis) Mahlum of Mesa, Ariz.; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard, in 1970; daughter, Joann Wagner in 1993; stepdaughter, Betty Polinske; stepsons, Stanley Osborn and Richard Osborn; and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at 3 p.m. at the Augusta Assembly of God Church, with burial in West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call two hours before services Tuesday at the church. The family is assisted by Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta .
