YORK Wade A. Good, 85, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 9:14 p.m. at York Hospital. He was the husband of Grace J. (Rapp) Good with whom he celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 19, 2006. Burial will follow the service in Prospect Hill Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Good was born April 27, 1921, in North York. He was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Ann (Ziegler) Good. Mr. Good retired May 1, 1981, from PA Railroad, Con-Rail, where he was a freight clerk for 42 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps during World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations as a Ball-Turret Gunner on B-24 Liberator bomber. He was a graduate of William Penn High School, class of 1939. Mr. Good was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Congregational Church, a member and past treasurer, Local Union of Brotherhood of Steamship & Railway clerks, and a member of AARP. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne E. McLaughlin and husband, Douglas of York; three sons, Michael E. Good of York, Gregory A. Good and wife, Deb of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Timothy S. Good and wife, Jacquelyn of Purcellville, Va.; eight grandchildren, Alycia Meile, Marlena Heiland, Erica Myers, Aaron Good, Jennifer Filipiak, Travis Good, Anya Good and Nathanael Good; six great-grandchildren, Briana, Grace, Camden, and Lauryl Meile, and Taylar and Lillie Myers.
