Billie and wife Letty went in the restaurant business for 10-12 years. They also sold horse hay and small animals in Houston on their days off from TDCJ until his retirement in 2000. In 2004, he and Letty bought a motorcycle, installed a sidecar, and traveled many miles together.Billie never met a stranger and loved to talk; anyone who knew him can vouch for that. Billie said he was blessed and lived happy life. He is of the Baptist Faith and attended the Good Shepherd Fellowship Church.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial, Crockett, Texas.
