Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon Darlene Tompkins, age 73, will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kree Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tompkins was born on July 6, 1943 to Orville T. and Fredia Elizabeth Anderson Byler in Zincville, OK and passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her home. She has been a resident of this area since 1972 and was a member of The Mission Church in Taylor, AR. She loved to work in her garden and loved taking care of her family She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tommy Lloyd Tompkins of Taylor, AR; daughter, Sherry L. West; two sons, Shannon L. Tompkins and Jeffrey Scott Tompkins, all of Taylor, AR; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Cowan of Pryor, OK and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tompkins was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Miles "Lane" West on July 16, 2012; two brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Danny Miller, Jeff Tompkins, Jason Rogers, Jeff McFadden, Brandon McFadden, Nathan Davidson and Allen Nolte.
