YORK Cora Mae Daugherty, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at her home. She was the wife of Emory C. Daugherty who died February 2, 1999. Mrs. Daugherty was born September 22, 1921, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Cyrus and Amanda (Melhorn) Lehigh. She and her late husband were farmers for their entire married life, prior to their retirement. Mrs. Daugherty was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her family. Mrs. Daugherty is survived by 11 children, Norma Landis of Manchester, Nancy Kahler of York, Eugene Daugherty of Manchester, Carl Daugherty of York, Joyce Livingston of Spring Grove, Joan Madison of York Haven, Dennis Daugherty of Dover, Jane Rinehart of Seven Valleys, Dale Daugherty of Dover, Jean Ryer of York, and Carol Corney of Spring Grove; 34 grandchildren; 74 greatgrandchildren; six great-greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Whitney of Michigan, Grace Chase of Michigan, and Bolly Young of Florida; and one brother, Earl Lehigh of Hanover. She was predeceased by two daughters, Jill Daugherty and Lori Mae Daugherty.
