"CANTON - Harold H. Owens, 65, of 5891 Springlake rd., NW, Jackson Township, Canton, died Monday a.m. in Tlmken Mercy . Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Canton, and was an Akron resident most of his life, returning to Canton 5 years ago. He retired in 1972 from the Akron Board of Education after 47 years service, where he had been building superintendent at East High School. He Is survived by wife, Mary W.; sons... sisters, Mrs. Wanda E. Bannash, of Canton and Mrs. Ray (Helen) M. Reed, of Massillon; 5 grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday 1 p.m. at the Formet & Clevenger Funeral Home, Canton, with Rev. Donald E. Sufford officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home."
