"Jerry Lee Smith, age 58, of Hodgenville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his residence with his wife and sons by his side.

He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hodgenville, received the first "Always A Hawk" award and coached hundreds of kids in youth sports. Jerry enjoyed fishing and golfing with his sons and was a outstanding athlete. His valiant six year battle with pain and cancer left everyone that knew him inspired.

The family would also like to express their appreciation to our Hosparus nurse Ashley Jury.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Roger Pepper, Tommy Locke and Whitney Brooks Smith officiating.
