Sadie, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Emille Farris and the former Catherine Shalhoub. She was born on February 4, 1917 in Lake Charles, LA and moved to Lafayette when she married in October of 1939. She resided in Lafayette until her death. Sadie was dedicated to her family and friends beyond measures. During her 100 years of life, she lived to cook and feed the best Lebanese food for all who entered her doors. No one was a stranger and everyone was welcome every Sunday to eat lunch at her house. Her other joy in life was her daily card games with her sisters-in-law and friends while drinking coffee.
She is survived by her children, Selma Pepiton and husband Phillip Maxwell, Jimmy Abboud Jr. and wife Trudy; grandchildren, Ted Arceneaux (Minas Roros), Angelle Perret (Philip), Leah Arceneaux (FGD), Peter Pepiton, II (Amy), Paul Pepiton (Christina), Blake Abboud (Melanie), Kelli Wimberly (Keith), Carleen Doucet, whom she considered a granddaughter; great grandchildren, Steven, Andre' and Sydney Perret, Grace and Caroline Pepiton, Connor and Seth Abboud, Grayson, Henry and Sadie Rose Wimberly and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy James Abboud Sr; daughter, Patricia Abboud Arceneaux; parents; daughter-in-law, Marcy Carrier Abboud; son-in-law, Benny R. Pepiton; five sisters, Maggie, Julia, Mary, Melvena, and her twin sister Sarah and four brothers, Farris, George, Mike and John.
