Mr. Richard Ralph Reed, Sr. 69, of Shenandoah Junction, WV. died Wednesday at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.
Mr. Reed, born in Harpers Ferry, WV; was the son of the late Clyde Milton Reed, Sr. and Naomi Virginia Middleton Reed. He was also preceded in death by a infant son, Eric Scott Reed; two brothers, Clyde Milton Reed, Jr. and Lee Reed, Sr.
He was a member of Millville Pentecostal Church. He retired from Halltown Paper Board with 44 years of service. He attended Harpers Ferry High School. He loved to go fishing at Walton's Mountain in Lancaster, PA. He will be missed by his family and his dog, Daisy.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Reed of the home; children, Richard Jr. and wife Julie of Martinsburg; Jamie and Jeff of the home; Amy Foulks and husband Earl of Charles Town; and Timmy and fiance', Ashley Weatherman of Everett, Washington; grandchildren, April and Linda Dibble, Cody Reed and Noah Foulks; brothers, Steve Reed, Sr and wife Cheryl of Nottingham, MD; and Lester Reed and wife,Marilyn of Charles Town and two sisters-in-law, Jean Reed of Harpers Ferry and Mary Reed of Ranson.
The family received friends two hours prior services at the church.
The funeral services were held at 2 PM, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Millville Pentecostal Church with Pastor Mark Compton officiating.
Burial was made in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Bolivar, WV.
