Frances P. Amos, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1940 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Preston Parker and Judson Overstreet Parker. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Parker, Abner Parker, Lonnie Parker, Allen Parker, Claude Parker; sisters, Lula Agee, and Myrtle Dooley. She is survived by her brother Buford Parker. She is also survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul H. Amos; and their children, Terry Amos, Debra Hunter, Becky Stanley and husband, Dale, Scotty Amos and wife, Dena; a special granddaughter, Jessica Behrens and husband, Bobby and many special nieces and nephews. Frances enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends and making beautiful quilts. She was a wonderful and loving mother to us all, who will be missed and loved forever. She was a long time member of Cool Springs Presbyterian Church. Special thanks to Hospice Care and special thanks to Rhonda, Debbie and Sissy. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Cool Springs Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2016, at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel with Pastor Geoff Hubbard officiating. A visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford, 540-586-7360.
