William “Bill” Carlisle, 77, of Highlands Ranch, CO, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Wind Crest Nursing Facility.

Bill was born on February 4, 1940 in Dallas, TX. Bill grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1957. He then served 4 years in the Air Force. He graduated from Southern State College in 1965 with a degree in Accounting. After working in Accounting, he decided to switch career paths. He joined Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, working in large computer systems. He moved numerous times to further his career, and he retired in 1993. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, travel and family. He was a charter member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Streetman, TX. He and Laura moved to Highlands Ranch, CO, in 2015.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Alma (McWilliams) Roberts, step-father, Lois Roberts, son Greg Carlisle and mother of his children, Virginia Saralynn Longino Carlisle.

He was survived by wife Laura Carlisle of Highlands Ranch, CO; son Chris Carlisle and wife Laura of Brush Prairie, WA; daughter Kathy Brown and husband Keith of Taylor, TX; step-daughter Catrina Bubier and husband Scott of Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren, Carli Brown, Courtney Carlisle, McKayla Brown, Steven Carlisle, and Lindsey Carlisle; step-grandchildren, Kelsey Bubier and Kyle Bubier; sister Sarah Keith of Magnolia, AR; brother Rodney Roberts and wife Rosa of Magnolia, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. David Watkins officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia, AR. Visitation will be held Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church, 515 FM 416, Streetman, TX 75859.
