Virginia Mae (Sims) Gray, 66, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 15, 2017. She was born on October 11, 1950 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Sims, her father, Henry Sims, her sister, Patricia (Sims) Sheffield, and her brother, William Sims. She is survived by her husband, Robert Gray, her daughter, Jessica (Gray) Graham, her son-in-law, Larry Graham, her granddaughter, Delanie Graham, her niece, Gwendolyn Sheffield, her cousin, Frank Cannon, and numerous other family members and friends. She attended Sam Houston State University and received a degree in education. She spent her life as an educator, bank teller, and avid softball player and bowler. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as being a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas.

Virginia will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 2:00pm at McAdams Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas. Visitation will be held at McAdams Chapel at 12:00pm on May 18, 2017 with the service and internment to follow.
