DOVER Sarah Elizabeth Akin, 14, formerly of West York, died Tuesday February 13, 2007, at the Hershey Medical Center, fol lowing a brief illness. Sarah was born on June 6, 1992, in York, a daughter of Vandy M. Akin of York and Stacey A. (Mummert) Hildebrand of Dover. Sarah was a ninth grade student at Dover Area Senior High School. In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by a sister, Mallory N. Akin, and a brother, Andrew P. Akin, both at home; stepfather, Michael E. Hildebrand; a stepbrother, Dustin G. Hildebrand; a stepsister, Jordan D. Hildebrand of York; maternal grandparents, Paul and Judy Mummert of York; maternal great-grandmother, Miriam Mummert of York; paternal grandmother, Catherine E. Tyler of Pottstown; paternal stepgrandmother, Cecilia Akin of York; paternal great-grandmother, Catherine Jackovitz of York; stepgrandparents, Gerry and Nancy Hildebrand of York; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
