William J. Dearth, 80, of Bens Run, died Sunday at his home. Born in Tyler County, he was the son of the late Harley and Mary Doty Dearth. He was a member of the Long Reach United Methodist Church, a retired iron worker, member of (unreadable).
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Mott Dearth; one son, James Dearth of Bens Run; one daughter, Mrs. William (Mary Jane) Holliday of Boaz; two sisters, Grace Ash of Bens Run and Hazel Hoff of Newport, OH; and two grandchildren, William Kevin Dearth and Jeanette Brewer, both of Bens Run.
Services were held at 1:30pm Tuesday at Eckels Funeral Home, Sistersville. Burial was in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, with Phoenix Lodge holding Masonic graveside services.
