Helen was born to the late Clarence and Mildred (Henderson) Rosencrans on May 15, 1926 in Cleveland and grew up in Unionville. She attended a two-room schoolhouse in Unionville and graduated from Madison High School in 1944.
She was employed by the Industrial Rayon Corporation, The Telegraph, Cleveland Press and North Coast Printing.
Early in her marriage, she designed and help build the family home in Concord, which was started by felling the trees on her father-in-law, Martin Adams's land.
She enjoyed travelling to Arizona, where she twice rode a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and took a hot air balloon ride. She read extensively and wrote poetry, took many pictures and made quilts. She enjoyed her favorite pets Muffy, Christy, and Sassy.
A sister, Virginia Kerr pre-deceased her.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Adams of West Virginia; daughter Bonnie (Dr. Harry) Walker of South Carolina; and grandson, Harry Walker, Jr. of Florida. She is also survived by cousins, William (Virginia) Rosencrans, Joyce Bielecki, Charles Rosencrans and Susan (Boughner) Glaser. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be 11 a.m., May 23, 2017, at White Fields Anglican Church, 105 Everett Street, Grand River, OH, Father Reverend Gregory Heath officiating with assistance by special family friend, Father Steven Galuschik of Ft. Myers, Florida.
Graveside services with be private at Unionville Cemetery.
Arraignments are being handled by Holowchak Funeral Home, 5548 State Road, Cleveland, OH.
