William served in the US Army and was a Loom Fixer in the textile industry. He was a member of Potters Clay Fellowship in Easley.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Lewis-Howard and husband Robert of Simpsonville; one grandson, Will Lewis and wife Amy of Simpsonville; and three great grandchildren Allison Lewis, Belle Lewis and Case Lewis.
