Jill E. Duame, 81 of Cook, passed away, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's- Duluth. She was born on January 24, 1936 in Virginia, MN, where she grew up.

Earlier she spent time with her family and friends in Cook and Lake Vermilion. Jill married Dennis Duame of Cook, where they resided and raised their four children.

Jill was a postmaster in Cook for many years until her retirement. She had co-owned Gammas Jill's Flowers with her sister Susan. Jill was a member of the Women's Cook's VFW Auxiliary. She had many interests and talents. Jill will be especially remembered for making many people chuckle at her great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends and relatives that she touched the lives of.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; sisters: Maria Menelli in infancy ,and Susan Mattson; son-in-law, Gary Bamberg and Godchild, Julie.

Jill is survived by her sons: Mike (Kathy), Mark (Tammy Morin), and Brian; daughter, Lisa (James "Ding") Holter; grandchildren: Rachel (Jim) Endrizzi, Amy (Dean) Boutto, Chad (Kristin) Duame, Jared (Jacie) Duame, Emalee (Jay Braith) Bamberg, Alex (Lacey) Bamberg, Ashley (Alex) Scott, and Adam Bamberg; seven great grandchildren; and other special extended family and friends.

Burial in the Cook Community Cemetery.
