ST. STEPHEN - Joseph M. Omann, 61, died Wednesday at his home. Funeral services will be at St. Stephen Catholic Church with his brother, the Rev. Edwin Oman, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Omann was born Feb. 25, 1922, in St. Cloud to Frank J. and Helen Omann Sr. He married Patricia Mensinger June 25, 1947, in St. Stephen Catholic Church and served as a fighter pilot with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Stephen American Legion and St. Cloud Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his wife March 5, 1981, brother and sister, Louie and Theresa. Surviving brothers and sisters are: Fr. Edwin, Frank J. Jr., Mrs. Edward (Helen) Peternell and Rep. Bernard, St. Stephen; Sister Mary Johnita, OSF, Little Falls; James, Chicago, Illinois.
