Funeral services for Miss Mary Kathryn Fore, a longtime Woodruff County teacher and counselor, was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral chapel. Interment followed in the Fakes Cemetery at McCrory with Dr. Will Dublin, Jr., pastor of the McCrory United Methodist Church, officiating.

Miss Fore, 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy. She was a member of the McCrory United Methodist Church.

Miss Fore was born Feb. 4, 1911, in Wilberton, Okla., the daughter of the late Peter Jordan and Rosa Emma Lewis Fore, Sr. She was a graduate of McCrory High School, then received her bachelor's degree from the Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas) in Conway and her master's degree in counseling at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Survivors include two brothers, Ralph B. Fore and Robert L. Fore, both of McCrory; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Rose) Schwendimann of McCrory; and a number of nieces and nephews.
