Joseph C. Snyzyk Jr., 54, of Orlando, Fla., died April 17, 2006, at Light View Hospital, Eufaula, Ala., from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Providence, the beloved son of Barbara J. (Viau) Snyzyk of Warwick and the late Joseph C. Snyzyk Sr. he had been a resident of Orlando since 1980.
Joe, a general contractor, was owner and president of Peerless Coatings, Inc. in Orlando for the past 26 years and recently received his real estate license in Florida. He was a graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School and attended URI and the University of New York in Buffalo. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, antiques and collectables.
He was the beloved brother of Barbara Ann Canton and Carol G. Rinn, both of Warwick; beloved uncle of Amanda G. Rinn, William J. Canton and his wife, Laura, Kevin J. Rinn, Julia A. Canton and Kimberly J. Rinn; and beloved granduncle of Trent Mark Canton.
His funeral will be held Friday, April 21, at 8:45 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 a.m. A burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903, will be appreciated.
