A funeral for Marguerite Agnes Knapp of Corbett was held at the Zeller Chapel of the Roses. Private interment was in Rose City Cemetery.
Mrs. Knapp died Saturday in her home of causes related to age. She was 88.
She was born May 30, 1903, in Paris. As a child, she immigrated to the United States with her family.
In 1926, she married Jack Knapp in North Dakota; her maiden name was Adamy. They moved to Portland in 1940. Her husband died in 1969.
During her younger years, she sang opera in many Portland establishments. In addition, she owned and operated the Lighthouse Tavern in Portland for more than 40 years. She retired in 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Courtright of Corbett, and two grandsons.
