Preceded in death by his wife Pauline I. Allen. Survived by daughters: Kathleen L. Hunt, Marion M. Wrath; sons: Harold L. Allen Jr. and wife Wilma; William L. Allen and wife Nancy Ann; brother: Leon Allen and wife Jan; six grandchildren: Patricia Lynn, Jason Wade, Valerie, William, Amanda, and Michael; three great-grandchildren: Mickey, Casey, and William and wife Linda.
Accomplishments include: 22 years service in US Army where he was awarded the Legion of Merit; 10 years of Civil Service in Ft Belvoir.
While at Fort Belvoir, he was a member of the first class for the Armed Forces Nuclear Power Plant. He helped establish the first power plant that was built in Virginia.
