Charles H. Rice, for many years a resident of this vicinity, died yesterday morning at his home on the Clifton Park Road.
Mr. Rice was born in Brunswick, N.Y., 89 years ago and until he retired three years ago he was engaged in carpenter work. He had been in poor health for some time and a gradual decline resulted in his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Rice, and one daughter, Mrs. Harriet Aldrich of the Clifton Park Road; one son, Harry Rice of Utica, N.Y.; seven granddaughters and two grandsons.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home on Clifton Park Road, and the Rev. James K. Stewart of the local First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be made in Hudson View Cemetery.
