George and Henrietta had 4 children - eldest son Richard Henry Turberville drowned in 1814, Cornelia, George II and then a son who died from typhoid. It was thought that both George, II and his brother (unnamed) both died from Typhoid, they were put on ice in the pallor until the wake could take place and someone saw George's chest rise and fall. They put a mirror under his nose and saw breath and immediately removed him from the ice and revived him. Since that day he was deaf and it is not clear if it was due to the high fever from Typhoid or if it was the ice.
