Mark proudly served his country for two tours of duty with the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam. He later served stateside with the United States Air Force.
He had a great passion for all things related to Abraham Lincoln and was interested in all of the presidents in general.
In his leisure, Mark enjoyed watching and listening to international soccer, rugby games and his eclectic collection of music. He was a passionate reader. He had a great affinity for Betty-Boop and The Titanic with a large number of collectibles of each.
Mark is survived by his wife, Sheri Daun-Bedford, children Angela Hopkins, Kurt Bedford, Kitzi Garvey and Kelly Wigfall, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Joseph Bedford and Yvonne (Graham) Bedford; his sisters Pamela and Bridget Bedford, and twin nieces.
Inurnment with military honors: 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
