John graduated from Garland High School, Garland, Texas in 1963. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Teas A&M University, Commerce, Tx. He worked as a commercial real estate developer and was owner of SVI Management Corporation.
On July 10, 1971, John married Brenda Bourne in Garland, Texas. Their union was blessed with daughter, Holly. John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his granddaughter.
John was an athlete all his life. He was a tennis professional at Vanderbilt Club in New York City and the Center Tennis Club in Dallas, Tx. Later he became an avid golfer and often found his way to the golf course. John loved to travel and was considered a fried food connoisseur. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
John is survived by his wife Brenda Beardsley, daughter Holly Beardsley Hunzicker, Granddaughter Aver Hunzicker, Cousins Karen Chambless and Robert Capps. John was preceded in death by his parents Amy Jo (Quackenbush) Beardsley and Richard Hillerman Beardsley.
