Fred M. Bidinger, 81, Route 6, died Monday at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell. The Rev. Tom Olson will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids. Christian Mothers will pray at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 8:30.
Fred Bidinger was born Aug. 29, 1905, in St. Cloud to Nicholas and Mary (Schmidt) Bidinger. He married Loret-ta Theisen June 1, 1931, in St. Mary's Cathedral and had been employed as an equipment operator by Burlington Northern Railroad more than 30 years before retiring in 1970. He was a lifetime resident of LeSauk Township, Stearns County, and member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Sartell.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Gene and Mrs. Ken (Mary Ann) Pietron, Sartell; Mrs. Marvin (Marcella) Traut, St. Joseph; Mrs. Lee (LaVerne) Kruchten and Robert, St. Cloud; brothers and sisters, Ray and Art, Sauk Rapids; Mrs. Florence Feddema, St. Cloud; Mrs. Josephine Prom, St. Joseph; 26 grandchildren; and 21 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife March 3, 1959; and brothers, Joe, Otto and Harry.
