Carrie Frances “Kay” Hall King, age 91, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, SC on January 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late S. Augustus Hall and Melinda Caroline Herron Hall. She was a graduate of Girl’s High School and attended Anderson University. Kay was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson where she faithfully participated in the Wednesday Bible Study luncheons where she played the piano. She was also affiliated with the Anderson County Outreach Entertainers.

She is survived by her son, Mark A. King, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Belton and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Amanda King.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mark Alexander King; brothers, Wilbur A. Hall, Charles Dean Hall, S.A. Hall, Sr.; sisters, Mildred Livingston, Edith Hardesty, and Helen Service.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Dr. James R. Thomason. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Anderson, Bicentennial Fund, 307 S. Manning St., Anderson, SC 29624.
