Carroll "Animal" Winford Swafford, 66, husband of Nancy Addis Swafford, 316 Stewart Road, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Oconee Medical Center.

A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Grady Clem and Beulah Wilbanks Swafford and worked for Henry's Body Shop.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Nancy, include daughters, Julie Crane and husband Todd of Walhalla, Kay Harris and husband Paul of Seneca, Dawn Swafford of Walhalla, and Angel Stubblefield also of Walhalla; brothers, Hershel Swafford and wife Ollie and Larry Swafford all of Westminster; sisters, Patsy Willis and husband David of Lowndesville, SC, Linda Fowler of Mulberry, FL, Judy Webb and husband Albert of Walhalla, Kathy Smith and husband Grady of Westminster and Kim McAlister of Seneca; and three grandchildren, Corey Donald, Baylee Crane, and Alyssa Cooper.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Gary Lee Swafford and Grady Swafford, Jr.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
