Peggy J. Bean, 87, of Beaumont, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at The Clairmont, Beaumont. She was born on June 27, 1929, in Merryville, Louisiana, to Berdie Bratton Deason and George W. Deason and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. She was a commercial service observer for Southwestern Bell.

Peggy is survived by her sons, James Dale Bean and his wife, Darla, of Sour Lake and Jerry Lynn Bean and his wife, Bobbie, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Christina Bean Savant and her husband, Jimi; Robert Mayo and his wife, Tyleigh, and James Mayo and his wife, Trinity; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. Bean.

A gathering of Mrs. Bean's family and friend will be from 2:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Broussard's, 105 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Broussard's, with her interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor.
