Betty Albert, 81, longtime resident of McAlester, died Tuesday at Memorial City Hospital in Houston, TX. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakewood Christian Church with Rev. Paul Crosby officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Hoover. She married Noel E. "Budge" Albert on June 7, 1935 in Perry. She had been a longtime member of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in McAlester and was presently a member of the Lakewood Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Judy and Ernest Hooter, Houston, TX and Anne and Vincent Driver, Hillsboro, KS; four grandsons, Christopher Driver, Gregory, Douglas and Stephen Hooter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
