She was my grandmother. She was born in Peoria, Texas, I think, but I am not positive. She was born Delina Jane Brooks. She went by the nickname of "Nina" and she married Warner Bailey Groves, in 1893. Thus she became Nina Groves, as is on her headstone. As my grandmother, I called her Nana. I always knew I got my middle name from her first name of Delina, but I didn't find out for about 40 years, that she got her first name from her grandmother, Delina Wilson Eastland.
