Geneva Gwen Brimer, 97, of Nampa, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at a Nampa Care facility. Funeral Home: Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.

Geneva (Gwen) Brimer
Geneva was ushered into the arms of her Savior Jesus early in the morning of November 9th 2016. She was 97 years old.
Daughter of Everret Edgar Bullock and Rachel Marie Nicks, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law of Nampa, ID., sister-in-law Elizabeth Bullock of Las Vegas, NV., nephew Gary Bullock of Las Vegas, NV., niece Sharon (Steve) Cameron of Las Vegas, NV., and nephew Ray (Debbie) Bullock of Fallon, NV. She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren Nikki Bartel of Reno, NV., and Curtis (Erica) Bartel of Fallon, NV., two great grandchildren as well as several great nieces and nephews.
As she requested there will be no service. Interment will be private.

Memories from a friend: “Gwen was a very sweet and dear friend. I first met her when she was 65 years old as she applied for a job as a barber at the N.A.S. Fallon Barber Shop. She was concerned I would not hire her because of her age. She was the best worker I ever had! She could work circles around all the younger employees. We laughed and had so much fun and she stayed on at the barber shop long after my contracts ended. After retiring she moved to Nampa, Idaho to be near her son and daughter-in-law.
Things she shared about herself: She came to Nevada with her family in a covered wagon when she was a baby.
When she was older, she lived in California for a while. During WWII she worked on an assembly line on the airplanes- "...like Rose the Riveter!" she would laugh. She married twice. She and her first husband (Bartel) had one son. Second husband was Jack Milton Brimer. She will always have a special place in my heart. God Bless you Gwen” …by Linda Acrey
