Sandra Lee English, 67, of Plainview passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Covenant Hospital of Plainview, Texas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Ron Brunson of New Covenant Church and the Rev. Richard Cronican of Milroy, Minn., officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
Mrs. English was born May 2, 1939, in Roann, Ind., to Earl Robert and Ellen May Yarian. She lived in Roann until 1952 when she moved to Tucson, Ariz. Sandra graduated from Flowing Wells High School in Tucson in 1958. She moved to Plainview in 1977 and married Bill E. English on July 14, 1977. Mr. English passed away Oct. 13, 2000. Sandra had been a life member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Auxiliary of the Gideons International, Member of Plainview New Covenant Church and past president of IHS Nursing Home Family Council.
Survivors include sisters Patricia Ash and husband Floyd of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Dana Cronican and husband Richard of Milroy, Minn.; nieces and nephews Kimberly Fenton and husband John, Kelly Muzzin and husband Joseph and Timothy Cronican and wife Andrea; and great-nephew and niece Nicholas Muzzin and Abigail Muzzin. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and by her two brothers, Jan Yarian and Larry Yarian. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 771, Plainview, TX 79072.
