NORTHPORT - Ms. Myrtle Lee Montgomery, age 79, was born December 19, 1937. She went to be with the Lord April 30, 2017 at Glen Haven Nursing Home. Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Ray Yeatman and Rev. Albert Lyles officiating. Burial will be at Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, David C. Montgomery; mother, Estelle Highsaw Montgomery; brothers, Festus F., Roy C. and Fred E.; sisters, Flo Rogers and Bessie L. Smith.
Ms. Myrtle was a longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was loved by all.
She came to feel at home at Glen Haven Nursing Home but now found a much better home with Jesus.
