He was born June 10, 1936 in Williamsport, son of the late Raymond and Genevieve (Long) Alexander.
He was a veteran serving in the US Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed with D&H Distribution, Harrisburg then later with Grumbine's RV Center in Harrisburg.
He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, Harrisburg Consistory, Perry Lodge and Capital Area Campers.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet L. (Greider) Alexander, daughter, Susan Gluck her husband, Dr. Michael Gluck, son, Marc Alexander, his wife, Julie Alexander, grandchildren; Alexa Gluck, Mariah and Evan Alexander.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
